CB and City Sino Group sign MOU to fund Mainland student scholarships
The College of Business at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and City Sino Group (China) Limited have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a scholarship scheme supporting mainland students enrolled in designated master’s programmes at the College. The signing ceremony took place on campus, marking a significant milestone in fostering academic collaboration and talent development.
Under the agreement, City Sino Group will donate a sum of HK$1.5 million to fund scholarships. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to nurturing future business leaders and promoting cross-border educational exchange.
Professor Stephen Shum Wan-hang, Dean of the College of Business, expressed deep appreciation for the generous contribution in his opening remarks, “These scholarships help relieve students’ financial burdens and also enhance the competitiveness of our master’s programmes, assisting us in recruiting talented students.”
Established in 1990, the College of Business has grown into a leading institution offering around 20 master’s programmes, five of which are ranked among the top five in Asia by QS for business-related courses. The College’s MBA programme is also globally recognised, ranked among the world’s top 100 and 16th in Asia. Notably, the College pioneered Hong Kong’s first master’s degree integrating business and artificial intelligence, and maintains strong partnerships with renowned mainland universities.
